Elliot Russell

Currently, I am a student a Bridgwater college. I am studying graphic design and have thoroughly enjoyed it. When I heard about the Bridgwater chamber logo competition I thought it would be a good chance to diversify my portfolio and try my design skills in something unfamiliar. I looked at some other examples in my research and I thought about the elements that make a logo a successful one. I have good skills in understanding design. I produced a range of designs for the Chamber, I was surprised when they informed me that my design had been chosen and even more so when I saw my logo on name badges, posters, leaflets and even chocolates at the grand opening of the Chamber of Commerce.

The final design that was chosen is quite simple. I used a font that I thought reflected the company/purpose and the colours look professional and work well together. I used a gradient background which is modern and made the text more visible. I was very impressed with the website, the logo fits nicely in.

My whole experience has been very positive and look forward to the future where I can further my design skills.
