Wow, what an evening!
Bridgwater Chamber of Commerce, Angel Place Shopping Centre, SDC & Quay West FM worked together to organise ‘Snowflakes & Shopping', a fabulous evening of fun for whole family.
Bridgwater was really buzzing on Wednesday evening with an estimated 4000 people in the Town Centre and Angel Place Shopping Centre.
The shops were open until 8pm with the streets full of children taking part in a Treasure Hunt, all hoping to become a lucky prize winner!
But that's not all, there was also: Santa, a Magician, Dancers, Samba Band, Majorettes, Giant Slide, Quay West FM stage, Hoola Hooping competitions and a Christmas Market.
The evening culminated in a wonderful Carol Service in Kings Square, accompanied by the Salvation Army Band, where everyone enjoyed a glass of Mulled Wine, a Mince Pie and some traditional Christmas Carols.
Roger Smith, Manager of Angel Place Shopping Centre said "The evening was primarily organised to increase the trade in the town and retailers have reported an overall increase of 15% to their sales, some people reporting better sales than during the day!"
Prizes for the Treasure Hunt were very kindly donated by 02, Clinton Cards, Kemps of Bridgwater, Pardoes Solicitors, Intek Communications & Tim's Camera Shop and Studio
