With an extensive and high profile client base such as JCB & Yeo Valley we are well established as the go-to organisation for any power & lighting needs. We work closely with many organisations within many industries; festivals, markets, fairs, TV & film, leisure & construction just to name but a few.We are also a pyrotechnics specialist and are well respected in our field for our creative, professional and safe firework and pyrotechnic displays; we have worked with local authorities providing the pyrotechnics for Christmas light switch-ons and also private clients for weddings and parties. There is one event that we are especially proud to work alongside, supplying temporary power, site lighting & pyrotechnics for this amazing and well established event.
Teddy Rocks Festival started life as a small music gig in 2011 to raise money for Teddy20, a children's charity founded by Tom Newton & his family after he sadly lost his 10 year old brother Ted to a very rare bone cancer.
This amazing event began as a small one off gig, organised by Tom & his friends & family in the Greyhound Pub in Blandford; the first event raised £400. Tom used the proceeds of this small charity event to fund the next event in 2012, the very first Teddy Rocks Festival at the Corn Exchange in Dorset.
Tom saw that his event was growing significantly and soon came to realise that he needed to bring on board, expert and specialist organisations to help him grow his festival. Welcome on stage, Power & Pyro!
As a long established festival & events service provider who have worked on many festivals all over the UK, Power & Pyro became part of Tom's trusted supply chain, giving guidance & advice on the festivals site requirements, design and layout and the power & lighting requirements for his festival, all with a personal touch.
We have a excellent relationship with Teddy Rocks Festival, going that extra mile to supply site & stage lighting, along with generators, cables & distribution boxes to power the stages, hospitality tents & on site catering facilities. The very first Teddy Rocks Festival raised £2500 and by 2013 Teddy Rocks had grown significantly and was going from a small pub gig to a well established festival in the South West. In the following years Teddy Rocks raised: £6,500 in 2013, £15,000 in 2014, £24,000 in 2015 & £42,800 in 2016. 2017 saw a huge leap for Teddy Rocks Festival, moving to a new site at Charisworth Farm in Blandford to facilitate car parking, a camp site & 4 large stages, all of which Power & Pyro supplied the power & lighting to. Last year's event raised a staggering £76,000 for such a great charity. Power & Pyro are very proud to be working with Teddy Rocks Festival since its creation and look forward to many more years of seeing the festival go from strength to strength. Why not visit the Teddy Rocks website and come and join us spend the 2018 May Bank Holiday listening to great music at a great regional event. We love our jobs at Power & Pyro and love that we can help and support new events like Teddy Rocks Festival grow from a small local pub gig to a large regional event, which is a must on the festival calendar! The fact that it's all done for an amazing worthwhile charity is the icing on the cake!
