Denys Rayner has spent the last twenty years operating at Board level in both large and smaller companies as well as a number of charity and ‘not for profit’ organisations. He also has significant experience in managing a variation of business units in large financial institutions as well as a period in organisational change-management .
Denys’s combination of management and experience is virtually unique in the south west, and therefore the opportunity to put this to good use with Strategy Boxed was too exciting to ignore. He is passionate about the need for businesses and their people to have a clear shared vision that everyone can articulate. This aids performance and drives greater profit. Denys has spent the last five years primarily working in the health sector supporting Primary Care change the way that it works to improve patient provision and long term sustainability. The principles of effective strategy can work for every type of business and this is why he feels so strongly about offering the opportunity at a very sensible price, so that more can benefit.
Whilst working for the Bank of Ireland, Denys led the successful bid to create the Post Office joint venture which provides all of the financial services offered by the Post Office. Following the award of the contract, Denys developed partnerships with other organisations to provide many of the products offered, and recognised that you don’t have to own a business to build a proposition that can yield a real ‘win-win’ for both organisations.
