It was a crisp morning across Somerset on the 18th of April, but the atmosphere and temperature was anything but chilly at Hurds Hill for the first joint business networking event between Bridgwater Chamber of Commerce and Yeovil & District Chamber CIC. Over 40 business owners gathered from the length and breadth of the county to extend valuable business connections.
Jo Reynolds, Yeovil Chamber President, expressed delight at the partnerships fostered with Town Chambers, “We are very pleased with the interaction and partnerships we are growing with other town chambers and this, I am sure, will be the first of many joint events with Bridgwater Chamber of Commerce.”
She added, “Events like this one are fundamental to the survival and growth of local Somerset businesses and we were pleased to see so many new partnerships and conversations happening this morning. I would also like to thank David Holmes and the team at Hurd’s Hill for their amazing hospitality – we will be back soon!”
The event served not merely as a networking affair, but as a platform for entrepreneurs to exchange insights, forge alliances, and lay the groundwork for future ventures.
Diogo Rodrigues, Manager of Bridgwater Chamber of Commerce underscored the significance of these collaborative efforts in expanding horizons for Bridgwater businesses, “We have partnered with Taunton Chamber on joint business networking events and we’re now doing so with Yeovil, opening doors to a wealth of opportunities for Bridgwater businesses. Plans are also underway for further collaborations with Wells and Glastonbury & Street.”
He added, “Creating pathways to prosperity for Bridgwater businesses is what we do best, and we know that these joint Chamber business events provide invaluable new opportunities for our businesses.”
