Sedgemoor District Council has recently increased security measures at St Matthews Field in a bid to deter unwelcome visitors to this important open space. Following discussions with local councillors; residents and allotment tenants, Sedgemoor District Council has installed a heavy duty “kick rail” along St Matthews Field Road, together with a 2 metre high height restricting barrier at the Albert Street entrance. In order to increase security the Durleigh boundary, much larger boulders have been put along the boundary.
